Her mother died in 1961 and she was adopted out. She was born Debra Kay Ingman (her father was Ivan Ingman) in Walla Walla on March 14, 1955. The name she was going by when her mom (Jeanine) died was Debra Kay Baker. When Jeanine died on 7-29-61, Debbie was staying in a foster home on Washington street in Kennewick that was run by a woman named Ruby Rogers (Ruby is no longer alive); and Debbie was going to East Gate Elementary School in Kennewick. Family tried to get Debbie but the state welfare people said no way and just arbitrarily adopted her out. Thanks, Laura wodiandhubby@yahoo.com slmaps@yahoo.com

I'm resending this because I made a mistake, and I'm not sure I sent it right afterwards. I apologize for the inconvenience. Hi Baker list, I am finally getting around to posting my Baker lines: This email is Baker line #1: Anna Baker b. ca 1819-20 in North Carolina, probably daughter of Joseph Baker, but as yet unproven. She married in 1840 to Frederick William Aderholt (his 2nd wife), b. 31 Mar 1800 Lincoln Co., NC d. 24 Mar 1879 St. Clair Co., AL, son of Jacob Israel and Elizabeth (Hefner) Aderholt. My reasoning for Joseph Baker being her father is: I have a certain map from a book (and I will have to dig out the source name if anyone wants it, but it's kind of late here and I'm kind of lazy here tonight, ha) - anyway, a map of a part of Lincoln county and has dots showing where my Aderholts lived and where Joseph Baker lived, in relative proximity to each other for that time period. As well as Joseph Baker and the Aderholt listings in the census records - usually on the same page. No, none of this is proof - purely circumstantial, hanging by a thread. But without this I don't even have that thread! I still need to check into wills and deeds to try to find some documentation - I did alot of checking into various records on these Bakers before but kept hitting that brick wall and finally decided to let it go for a bit. Now I'm getting back to it. There is a census record in 1850 Lincoln Co., NC for Joseph Baker age 50 and Elizabeth (wife) age 48, both born in NC and shown with seven children - John, Mary, Jackson/Johnson, Louisa, Catherine, Vardy and Daniel. In 1830 Lincoln Co., NC there is a Joseph Baker with 2 daughters the age to fit Anna. In 1820 Lincoln Co., NC Joseph has the same 2 daughters the age to fit Anna, and there is a Joseph Baker, Sr. as well. If you are interested in this line of Bakers I would be happy to correspond with you and share and exchange information. Hi Listers, My second Baker line is: Mary Baker who married Robert Brooke 25 Feb 1626/27, daughter of Thomas Baker and Mary Engham. I have a Rebecca who married Peter Poteet who d. 1 Apr 1740 Baltimore Co., MD - but researchers have found nothing to prove her last name. Some researchers believe her to be a Baker, and some believe her to be a Bond. And I have a Marjery Baker, daughter of Robert Baker, who married Gabriel Wilkinson b. 1576 d. 17 Dec 1658 England. If anyone would like to correspond on any of these lines or would like more information on my connection please let me know. MS. This was my dads mother. She was born 04/15 1884 and died 10/24 1911 in childbirth. To my knowledge my dad was her first born and his name was Letchworth Cox b. 07/11 1908 d. 06/201969. He was three yoa when his mom died. The baby that was born at the time of Fannies death was a girl named Beatrice who later married a T.M. (Mac) Kidd. To my knowlege both the Cox and Baker families were from Clarke Co. MS. and lived in a small community called "Wautubee." Fannie is buried at the Pine Hill Church Cemetary, also in the same community. She is buried next to a Joe S. Baker b. 06/06/1823 d. 06/10/1915 and a Sarah Baker b. 10/12/1833 d. 06/21/1930. I think these people may be relatives but am not sure if what the connection may be. Fannie was married to my grandfather, Horace S. Cox. Any information would be greatly appreciated...I will gladly exchange what little information I have.
