BAKER is so common, I'm not holding my breath!!! My info says Charles Albert Baker (not Edward) born 13 MAR 1923. Doesn't say where. I was told he passed in 1972. I do have a bit more history when we find if applicable, Thanks. Sheila

Nathan Baker's siblings nor parents, only that his pension papers said he was born 14 Apr 1760 Woodbury, Litchfield Co., CT. He married Lucy NORTON of the same place. He is not the Nathan that died in 1803. There were at least six Nathan Baker's living in the area of Pompey during the same time period. Three of them even attained the same Church. I'd love to be able to go there someday and sort them out. If you go to the Onondaga Co., N.Y. Rootsweb message board you can find some discussion on some of them. My Rev. Nathan fought in the Rev. War when he was 16 and several people have joined the DAR and SAR under his name, and there are also many of Nathan Bakers who where in that war. My Nathan died in 20 Oct 1836 Rega/Chili, Monroe Co., N.Y. many of his family moved to WI then MI, CO and elsewhere.
Liz, It looks like George's dad was a traveling man, because by the time he was 15 yrs. Old, they had moved to Indiana...this being in the year of 1850. Also, as you go down the email, George's steps can be traced. Hope this helps because I know you are really looking for something important!! She married Elijah Borden in 1759 in Bristol Co.,MA. They moved to Pompey where they has 11 children. Only 2 sons were born to Sarah; they were Nathan and Joshua. I noticed in the Baker Cemetery in Pompey,NY that Elder Nathan Baker had only one daughter and she was Lucy. Based on this we feel my Sarah Baker may have been a sister to Nathan Baker who died 3 July 1803 in Pompey. Do you have any information on siblings of elder Nathan Baker? Is the Nathan Baker that someone joined the DAR through, the same Nathan Baker that died in 1803? Incidentally I was born 1936 in Battle Creek,MI Greta McAdams

Also in persons examined in 1637 in England there is the family of a John Baker including a son named Thomas (no age given for Thomas). Their destination is given as "Charles Towne" (Again I am assuming this is referring to Charlestown, now a part of Boston). Are these people connected to Thomas Baker who worked with Roger Williams in Rhode Island? Anyone know? Any other Bakers I should be on the lookout for in the book or related families? The little information we know, is that the children of Charles and Irene Baker are as follows: Mattie, Johnny (my grandfather), Rosa Lee, Jimmie, Marshall, Charlie, Herman, Lillie and Gladys. All the children were born in Tupelo, Miss. We believe Charles was buried in Marianna, Arkansas, and Irene, was buried in Highland Springs, Miss., in 1951. We'd appreciate any information anyone has on our family.
