Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/JCC.2ACEB/8788 Message Board Post: I was recently given a pile of family papers and don't know how to tie into the info. I have a Nathan BAKER b: Abt 1809 married to Lydia Unknown. in my database. Their children were: Albert (b. Abt 1834), Edwin (b. Abt 1835), Minerva (b. Abt 1837), Letha (b. Abt 1838), John (b. Abt 1841), Mary Ellen (b. Abt 1841), Rosanna/Rowana (b. Abt 1844), Elizabeth (b. Abt 1849), Malcolm (b. Abt 1852) and Nathan (b. Abt 1853). I believe this ties into this family whom I don't have any info on. It appears that my Nathan was a son in this family: William BAKER (b: Abt 1775) married Elizabeth (last name might be BEAN?) (b. Abt 1798). Their children are listed as: Ignitious (1805-1860), Susanna (1803-1888), James (1806-1849), Nathan (1809-1891), Allen Green (1812-?), Tena (1815-1848), William (1817-?), George Everly (1820-1848) and Silas (1823-1840). Can anyone shed some light? Does my Nathan belong to the above family? Thank you

I am trying to locate any information about John Baker who married Cynthia Hutcherson (Hutchison?) in Madison County, KY in 1817. John was born in NC but at sometime went to KY where he enlisted in the army and fought in the War of 1812. Any information will be appreciated but I am especially interested in their children, one of whom was my great grand- mother. I will happily share anything which I have. Peace, Ethel Adams

I am Steven J Hesling and my Great Great Granfather is William (Wilhelm) H. Hessling who emigrated I believe around 1840-1850 from Hannover Prussia. I am trying to define when and where he came over and where he came from. I see many Hessling's came from either Northern Germany or Holland. Can you give me any background information on the surname? Thank You, Steven J. Hessling

They had nine known children, the oldest being a daughter named Elizabeth born in 1817. My ancestor, Samuel Wolf, of the same place married a Regina Becker/Baker on December 3, 1816 in the same part of PA and she was also born in 1817. On the LDS site I faind information that says that Regina Becker was the daughter of a Frederick Becker and I believe that Elizabeth and Regina are the same person, but I cannot prove it. I am wondering if anyone out there might have information that would help me resolve this genealogy question. Thanks in advance.

William L. Baker was born November 23, 1823 inDickson Co, TN. His father was WilliamBaker and his mother was Myra Peace DUKE. In the 1880 census of Tom Green County, TX he is listed as a physician and he was then in his 80s. The Middle Tennessee Journal of Genealogy and History, Vol XII. Number 1 has a listing of the medical school graduates from the University of Nashville (I always believed William L may have graduated from there in the 1850/1860 period) The listing only includes those doctors who were from Tennessee and William L. is not listed. There were two Baker listings - Robert Howell Baker, graduated 1973, from Watertown Tn and William W. Baker graduated 1881 from Bloomington TN. Any information concerning Dr. William L. Baker would be appreciated. Floreda

Joseph BAKER b.? d. unknown place married Mary [who signed a paper Meri BECKAR---this is the only time I found the Beckar name). They lived in Libertytown area of Frederick Co MD, but I don't think MD was their first residence. I know they had at least 2 children: Phillip and Catherine (unknown birth order). Phillip married a BAIL. (Bail, Bale, Baile, Bails, Bailes). Catherine married my ancestor John Lane Sr (another whole story and Brick wall !) on Jan 23 1805. In Oct. 1809 Joseph Baker & his family and John Lane & his family move to Washington Co PA arriving before the 1810 Census where we believe they are all in the same house. Skipping ahead, Joseph Baker dies 1815. If I remember right, he had a brother named John. Then the son Phillip dies ca. 1816. He had ch. but I don't off-hand remember names. Catherine Baker Lane supposedly died in 1822 - no proof. One of John and Catherine Baker Lane's children was (Rev.) Daniel Lane who married Anna England. I was told, but do not know how accurate it is, that ENGLAND is also YINGLING. We were researching Bedford Co PA for info on our Englands. So this might not fit, but I thought I'd submit it in case it is a clue. If any of my info connects to anyone's families, please email. I am still researching all these people and where they came from before Washington Co., Pa. These families are German. Joseph Baker read books in Dutch (His Account/Probate Record). They might have gone to a Lutheran Church? Lane was a founder of a German Baptist a.k.a. Church of the Brethren church. They were associated with many Brethren families in MD & PA. Judy

She was born 22 APR 1913 in MO, and died 13 SEP 1967 in Sacramento Co., CA. The family was listed in the 1930 Springfield, Greene Co., MO Census. According to obituaries I have, they were still living in Springfield, MO in 1940 the year Edna's brother died. But they had moved to Sacramento, CA by 1944, the year Edna's father died.
