I believe the son named Stephen that you mentioned is my gg-grandfather, Steve Baker born Jan. 1863 IL, died between 1902 and 1908 in Monroe Co., AR. I believe I found him on the 1880 Franklin Co., IL Census with his widowed mother, Mrs. Mary Baker and siblings, Mary E. (age 21), James W. (age 18), Stephen (age 17), and Charity M. (age 15). My Stephen married (1st) Lovicia A. (Vicie) Breeding in Monroe Co., AR on August 1, 1883. They had 2 (known) daughters, Dessie born Jan 11, 1892 and Hattie born Aug 1896. Vicie died by 1900 and Stephen married (2nd) Willie Neal on Oct 14, 1901 also in Monroe Co., AR. They had one son, Charlie Louis Baker born Mar 14, 1902. I have no record of Stephen after this point but Willie remarried on Mar 11, 1908 so I assume he died by then. If our families do connect, I would love to trade information with you. Thanks, Libby Baker Beliew

We are seeking family and military information about servicemen from your county killed in the South Pacific during World War II. There are 17,206 Americans buried here and thousands more that are missing or buried at sea and are honored on the “Tablets of the Missing”. Please visit our website to see the beautiful memorial located in Manila, Philippines. http://fizkid.tripod.com/ My wife and I visited the cemetery as visitors and left with a mission in our heart. We have been taking photographs of the graves of the Indiana servicemen buried here and have been uniting them (at no charge) with their family members in Indiana and across the United States. To receive the photo of your family member, neighbor or friend all you need is a working email address. We do not send them to regular mailing addresses due to the costs. Please help us find the families of the men that might still be living. Our project is only successful because of teamwork and your contributions are noted on our website.
