Samuel had a wife Lucinda (which I am sure you know). He would have died in Hillsdale because she is shown as a widow in the 1900c. She is living with her son Delbert D. and grandson Ray Youngs who also was her informant for her death in Coldwater. In 1880c he is listed with family wife Lucinda, sons Delbert and Edward next door is daughter Mary who married Alanson Youngs. He should have a death record in maybe in Ionia, Berrin Michigan where he was living in 1880. If you have any information on the Cary line I would appreciate what you may have.

    1. George Baker's death in 1960s.
    2. Steven de Grussa
    3. I am desperately looking for death records of my great grandfather, George Baker. He might die in 1960s somewhere in England. He was a pauper’s grave. George Baker was born in Hampshire, England on Feb 1892 but he grew up in Woolwich, England with his mother, Ellen and stepfather, Edward Pearce. George was married to Gertrude Rutherford on June 1915 and they had four children. They migrated to Perth, Western Australia on 1924. George was separated his wife and family during world war two. He moved to Brisbane, Queensland. I believe he joined his eldest sister, Ellen Walden (nee Baker) and her daughter, Ellen who lived in Brisbane since 1912. I was told that George was drunk and drowned in a river between 1960 and 1965. Unfortunately, Ellen Walden died in 1976 and his daughter, Ellen died in 2002. She was married twice to Carloss and Sanger. They did not have any children. I could not contact them. There are no records of George Baker in Queensland so he might be moved back to England to join his relatives. I would be greatly appreciate if someone could help me to look up for George or knows any of them. Please contact me. Thanks, Steven from Melbourne.

She married Willis PALMER (~1905?). They had 2 children, Emma - possibly Imogene - (my great-grandmother, b. 1907) and Mable (sp?) PALMER. I found records in the Seneca Falls directories (Chenango Co.) showing they lived there from the mid 1910's through 1929. My grandfather's sister remembers that Jessie died in the flu epidemic of 1918. Emma married Earl ADAMS. When she was widowed she moved to Buffalo with my grandfather and his sister ~1930 (both still living). I would really like to find out where Jessie comes from, and try to make a connection. Thanks!

Mary MITCHELL was bap 2 Feb 1790, Withycombe, Somerset and was buried 13 Apr 1852, Withiel Florey, Somerset - she was the daughter of Henry MITCHELL and Elizabeth "Betty" WATTS. William BAKER was buried on 12 Dec 1830 at Withiel Florey, aged 34, so was born about 1795. William and Mary BAKER had a son, John BAKER, in 1818 at Withycombe, Somerset, but I believe they also had further children at the nearby village of Withiel Florey (according to the IGI they had William in 1823 and Robert in 1828). John BAKER, born 1818, Withycombe, married Mary Ann FARMER (born circa 1819, Upton, Somerset, daughter of George FARMER and Mary HEMBURROW) on 6 Jan 1841 at Upton Parish Church, Somerset. John BAKER and Mary Ann FARMER had ten children: 1. Elizabeth BAKER, born circa 1841, Brompton Regis, Somerset. Married Robert CHAPMAN of Nettlecombe. Had 5 children. Jane BAKER, born circa 1842, Brompton Regis. Married Levi CRIDDLE at Withiel Florey, 1867. Had 5 children. After Levi's death, Jane married Richard SYMS, 1882, Huish Champflower, Somerset. Had further 4 children. Lived at Huish Champflower, Somerset. 3. Harriet BAKER, born 1845, Brompton Regis. Married William COWLIN at Timberscombe, Somerset in 1868. Had 11 children. Lived at Timberscombe (1871), Dunster (1881), Stogumber (1891) and Milverton, Somerset (1901). 4. William BAKER, born circa 1847, Brompton Regis. Married Mary A. SHOPLAND, 1876, Huish Champflower, Somerset. Had 8 children. Moved to London circa 1883. 5. John BAKER, born circa 1850, Brompton Regis. May have moved to Wales? 6. James BAKER, born circa 1852, Brompton Regis. Married Jane FLEW, 1873, Huish Champflower, Somerset. Had 6 children. Family moved to Monmouthshire, South Wales before 1885. 7. George BAKER, born circa 1854, Brompton Regis. Married Sarah RICHARDS, 1876, Huish Champflower, Somerset. Had 8 children. Family moved to Glamorgan, South Wales before 1885. 8. Thomas BAKER, born circa 1856, Brompton Regis. Married Mary Ann STONE, 1878, Huish Champflower, Somerset. Had 1 child. Lived at Huish Champflower, Somerset. 9. Charlotte BAKER, born circa 1859, Withiel Florey, Somerset. Married William FRY, 1877. Had 10 children. Lived at Brompton Regis. 10. Frank BAKER, born circa 1863, Withiel Florey, Somerset. Married Selina M. BLAKE, 1885. Had at least 6 children. Lived at Molland, Devon, and then Glamorgam, South Wales. If anyone ties in to the above, I have lots more info about descendents etc., plus all census data, which I'm very happy to share. Best wishes, Sue
