    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: LarryAnderson6281 Surnames: Baker, Wisenbaker, Chapel, Chappell, Chapell, Herrick, Holmes, Tiffany, Hillard, Peabody, Geer, Musser, Hunt, Lattimer Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.baker/6334.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Hi again cedars1: Catherine (Wisen) Baker that married Joseph Peabody was the daughter of Matthias Wisenbaker and Neomi/Naomi Bates. Catherine was born 21 Feb 1801 in Lyme township, NL Co., CT. and married Joseph Peabody 28 March 1833 in New London Co., CT. She had previously married Jacob Holmes, having two children by him. Of Joseph Peabody they had six children. I have photographs of Joseph and of Catherine, furnished by some distant cousins we have found in Connecticut. Are you by chance a descendant of Joseph and Catherine? We have Matthias' tree going back to 1625 in Dietlingen, Baden territory, Germany. His father emigrated from there in 1747 (after being hijacked by Spanish pirates in 1744 and losing his whole family in Spanish prison or during the conflict onboard). You may want to contact me directly for much more information than I would want to try to post online. Would love to find out how you fit into this tree (only 17,000 branches so far).
