I don't know yet. My gggrandfather Henry(Harry)Wynn Baker married Permelia Trotman (1st of 4 wives). I have not been able to connect her definitively yet but suspect she is descended from Rev. Quinton H. Trotman, one of the founders of what is now Chowan College and the first pastor of Sandy Cross Baptist Church. That may be the same Trotman family. If the information on Sallysfamilyplace.com is correct, many Bakers married Trotmans. I agree that we will find a link somewhere. In 1815 he moved with his uncle to Indiana. He married Sarah Robertson in 1823. Sorry I couldn't be much help. Do you have any idea what county or city James and Jesse were born or could have lived? My line is James Baker married to Elizabeth Peyton who I believe is a brother to Jesse Baker who married Sarah Robertson. James & Elizabeth had a dau; Christena who married James Burns who had a dau; Emma who married Garrette Jenkins then moved to Pierce Co., Washington where our family is now. I got stuck when trying to locate the parents of James & Jesse Baker. My grandmother Emma Lou (Jenkins) Oakes has passed so this has sat on a shelf unsolved.
