    2. George and Harriet Herrington
    3. Per Cope's Baily Genealogy: William Baily (Levi, William, Daniel, Joel) m. Phebe Woodward their children: William, Jeremiah, Philena, Knight, Charlotte, Sarah, Phebe Not listed: Levi W. Baily b. June 1824 St. Clairsville, Belmont, OH I have a chancery document in which the above children of William & Phebe (Woodward) Baily are named in a suit of partition by Levi W. Baily. To date, I have not found any supporting evidence to prove Levi W. Baily is the son of William & Phebe Baily. No will, no property found for William Baily in Belmont Co., OH. William and Phebe Baily are buried in St. Clairsville Methodist Cemetery. Dates of death on stone are unreadable. My theory: Cope received information on this line from California residents who were the descendants of William Baily who married his cousin Mary Gause. That person/s were not aware of the Ohio members. I have worked this line for many years, have the marriage dates of all but William m. Mary Gause and Jeremiah. Cope states Philena m. ___ Paul, have found nothing to substantiate this marriage. Can anyone please give me any idea for additional research?? Thank you, Harriet M. Herrington

    1. [BAILY] Baily - Somerset, England
    2. Helen Phillips
    3. Hello Listers I am looking for information about Richard Baily who married Hannah Bainum(?) in North Curry, Somerset, England 10 Sept 1737. Does anyone have any information about them or their ancestors? or is anyone looking for information about this branch of the Bailys? Further down the line, I am descended from their grandson, William Shore Baily B 28 April 1800 married Eliza Knight in Corsley. I live in Hong Kong, so getting information/records has been difficult. I do have an elderly Aunt living in Dorset, England who is quite helpful with information. Thanks for your attention and hope to hear from someone to share information with soon! Regards Helen Phillips (nee Baily)

    3. Hi, Gary, I find only one reference to an Amos Harry in the Baily book (Descendants of Joel Baily, etc. by Cope): On P. 59, regarding the children of Ann Baily and Joshua Peirce: "#148 Daniel Peirce, b 11 mo 1, 1754; d. in East Marlborough 7 Mo. 27, 1826; m. about 1795, by a magistrate, Isabella Harry, d. 1853, daughter of Amos and Hannah (Baily) Harry, of Pennsbury. He inherited the homestead with 177 acres, in E. Marlborough, and devised the northern part thereof, including some land purchased of William Loller, in all about 100 acres, to his sone Daniel, subject to his mother's maintenance. Daniel and Isabella were disowned on account of their marrieagte. He owned the farm now of Abram Wright, in Pocopson." Sound like it might be yours? No mention of a George Harry. Let me know if I can look up anything else. You might check some of the links at my site.
