Author: enyapinot Surnames: Bailey, Bailly de Messein Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.bailly/6.10.1.5/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Have just discovered Honore Gratien Joseph Bailly de Messein is my 5th great grandfather. Curiosity about my lost heritage started my search, but mostly for my mother's early (accidental)amnesia and now dementia. Because she couldn't remember, her children never knew. Until now. Although we'll never have the full story, we'd appreciate any accurate information that can be shared. Our Bailey line ends in the Evergreen Cemetery in Paradise, Grand Traverse, MI with their Native wives. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/EEC.2ACIB/6.18 Message Board Post: I'd like to know more about any relatives of Jean Sylvain de Bailly. According to a history on Bailly he had no children. Perhaps he had siblings. Someone doing a genealogy of our family suspected Bailly to be an ancestor but apparently it's not possible he was in a direct line. Furthermore, the name of those who were thought to be descendents was spelled Beylle. Any information would be helpful.
