The Jacob I have arrived in New Orleans in 1854 and his age at that time was 8 years. More accurately I know that he married Caroline Stuft from Freudenstadt. I have a copy of a certificate where Jacob Haas testifies as to the character of John Stuft for purposes of citizenship. Is it possible that Johann Stufft and Jacob Haas knew each other prior to their arrival in America? My grandmother, Magdalena Haas Donhower is the daughter of Caroline Stuft and Jacob Haas.
