    3. At $.83 cents a day I consider Ancestry.com a pretty darn good deal for all the valuable information they have. Roger

    3. Roger, I totally agree. I cancelled my World subscription and just now get the "domestic' version, so I am paying about 42 cents a day. Cheap entertainment, and a great way to connect up with cousins, and much, much valuable information! (Hint: The connections I have made via various Rootsweb lists have provided me with far more information than I ever got from Ancestry as far as finding my roots in Germany!) But when you combine the 2 sources, all things are possible, it seems! 3. All of this talk about the cost of Ancestry had me worried. I just went into my account and found that I could upgrade to the World subscription for $299 for the year and the renewal for my US subscription would $159 for the year. That is what I paid last year. With gas at $4/gal (US), the cost of going to a local library, if there is one, is more that the subscription to Ancestry. If you went any distance the cost of one trip to that location where your ancestors lived could be significantly more that the Ancestry subscription, and you would have to get dressed to do it.
