    3. Stuart, That address gets me to the Family Search site. I don't see anywhere on that site that will get me to the SSDI listing. -------------------------------------------------- From: "Stuart Bechman" <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, April 04, 2012 3:47 PM To: <[email protected]> Subject: Re: [BW] Soc Sec Deaths > You can still search SSDI records for free at this site: > https://www.familysearch.org/search/collection/show#uri=http://hr-search-api:8080/searchapi/search/collection/1202535 > > Seems to be updated through the end of 2011. > I was able to find good information on the few descendants I tried out? > -Stuart > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to > [email protected] with the word 'unsubscribe' without > the quotes in the subject and the body of the message >

Try this: Go to familysearch.org near bottom of page, select United States this will return a list of 568 mostly free indexed databases scroll down and select United States Social Security Death Index bookmark this to get there directly next time. In the meantime you can admire all the U.S. data online. For more related to this list, go back to familysearch.org near bottom of page, select Europe this will return 233 collections . . .

    3. ?? Maybe the search string works only in Internet Explorer? The screen that comes up for me has the title, "United States Social Security Death Index". And a search box appears in the main body of the page. -Stuart ________________________________ From: Marvin Hoerig <[email protected]> To: Stuart Bechman <[email protected]>; [email protected] Sent: Wed, April 4, 2012 2:56:07 PM Subject: Re: [BW] Soc Sec Deaths Stuart, That address gets me to the Family Search site.  I don't see anywhere on that site that will get me to the SSDI listing. -------------------------------------------------- From: "Stuart Bechman" <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, April 04, 2012 3:47 PM To: <[email protected]> Subject: Re: [BW] Soc Sec Deaths > You can still search SSDI records for free at this site: >https://www.familysearch.org/search/collection/show#uri=http://hr-search-api:8080/searchapi/search/collection/1202535 >5 > > Seems to be updated through the end of 2011. > I was able to find good information on the few descendants I tried out? > -Stuart > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to > [email protected] with the word 'unsubscribe' without > the quotes in the subject and the body of the message >
