    3. Thank you for your reply, Paul. I sent the church an email asking if they were the only Catholic church in Habsthal in 1736 when my ancestors went to church there.   Dave From: Paul Rands <paulrands@hotmail.com> To: David Stroebel <davidstroebel@yahoo.com>; BADEN-WURTTEMBERG Rootsweb List <baden-wurttemberg@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, October 30, 2013 2:31 PM Subject: Catholic Church in Habsthal/Ostach? 3. >From the description on the website, this was a chapel associated with a Dominican nunnery at that time but is now a Benedictine nunnery. I don't know Catholic practices but it is possible that such a chapel was not open to outsiders and that local parish members may have been ministered to in/from a different church. Habsthal is currently grouped with nearby Bernweiler and Levertsweiler and is part of the municipality of Weithart (see http://www.ostrach.de/gemeindeostrach/die-ortschaften-von-ostrach/weithart/ ) Bernweiler and Levertsweiler are so small as to be almost invisible on a map today. These two places mainly show up as street names out of Habsthal suggesting in which direction they are/were from there. Except for the nunnery, I doubt any of these three is/was big enough to have a parish church building of their own. However, I see there are microfilmed records for this location that you can borrow from the LDS Church. Details:Katholische Kirche Habsthal (OA. I can see I am wrong again, Levertsweiler does have a Catholic church (see http://www.kath-ostrachtal.de/html/levertsweiler.html?t=39d3646b295b789cc0613ab6d5b8701f )Here are the church records microfilm details:Katholische Kirche Levertsweiler (OA. This is based on my quick research, schoolboy German, and speculation. Some expert and/or local knowledge would be good.
