Carroll, If others on this list are interested in the process for finding unknown cousins in Germany or any European country see the notes after my reply to Carroll. Carroll, I've copied you off list so that you will be able to open the attached .pdf file with the seven contacts. Let me know if you have any questions. I looked at the German telephone directory and was able to determine the names addresses and telephone numbers of the Geiser family members living in the vicinity of Buehlertal. Be aware that there are two alternate spellings for the two individuals actually living in Buehlertal. Those with the spelling of "Geiser" are located in the two neighboring postal codes but you will want to contact all seven individuals. Use snail mail and take you letters to your local post office, as international mail requires special postage. Begin by formulating a brief message in English unless you speak fluent German. I always start my message by stating that German is not my native language and therefore I am using an electronic translator to translate my message. Many Europeans have some knowledge of English and are able to make sense of any errant translations. Briefly convey information about your ancestor who left Buehlertal and any of his or her siblings and parents. Let them know you have a trip planned to the area. Finish by providing all of your contact information including your e-mail address. After you have the message completed, use Google Translate to also obtain a German version. Place both on the same page with the German version at the top and send your letter to each of the seven individuals. *The process for attempting to contact unknown cousins in Germany/Europe.* Here is the simple process that can be used to locate potential unknown cousins.
