Hello: Seeking help and assistance: I hope that I am corresponding with the correct agency for help? I am researching the Alber line for my great grandson in-law Nathan Brain Alber. I am trying to find the true parents of Henry J. Alber, AKA John Henry Alber born 12 Jul 1870 in Wittenberg,Sachsan-Anhalt.Germany. This is Nathan's 3 grandfather. It appears that his parents were: Mother- Pauline Stohhecker Buehler - no proof Father: Frederic Alber - no proof. This appears to be his naturalization record (for my John Henry Alber). Not sure. U.S. Naturalization Record Indexes, 1791-1992 (Indexed in World Archives Project) about John Henry Albers Name: John Henry Albers Birth Place: Germany Court District: Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Iowa Date of Action: 20 Oct 1880 (Note some other areas state 1887) I have not been able to find who was his sponsor, who he traveled with, and his USA exact resident/destination.
