Russ - Strange that I have not come across any LIPP families in my Manges-Bender-Merkel, etc. research in Eschelbach. Were they by chance Catholic? If so, that might explain it. I see where there is a Familienbuch on film 1049297, but it doesn't look like that would include Eschelbach. However, I might send for it if other leads don't pan out. I appreciate you letting me know about being at the Sinsheim archives in April. Depending on what I find out about locating this information, I may just hire you to coordinate some lookups for me. When I went to Salt Lake and used the FHC microfilms, I found film LDS 1049297, that contains all the Familienbuch for my Sinsheim ancestors. It's a great resource, since I was able to find lots of information about these families. I am sure there are other Familienbuchs at FHC. Russ Lipp
