Hi Deloris,  I have found that many of the family stories are not quite correct.  I was told my family came from Baden Baden and found that was the largest city close to where they came from but they did not really come from there.    Here is a link for info on Baden Baden the spa town  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baden-Baden Now, this may be a reach but there in Baden Baden there is The Holland Hotel Sophienpark Could it be they lived close to this location?  It was built in 1700s.  So it would have been there for a long time.
