Hello I am new to your list. I'm researching my 3rd great Grandparents that came from the Grand Duchy of Baden Salesii Dreier (also listed as Franz Sales Draier) and his wife Maria Kathatrine Hanser. The marriage records to his daughter Sophia to my 2nd Grandfather Urban Mengwasser in America shows that she was born in Wendlingen. We know of two brother that were at the wedding (Daniel and Charles), but cannot find anything on her family here. I currently am trying to trace them back to Baden and maybe get an understanding of what happened to the family. I have searched the FamilySearch site and found that Salesii may have been married two-three times. The first wife appears to have been Maria Theresia Koch her son Daniel was at the wedding of his half Sister Sophia her mother is listed as Maria Katharine Hanser listed on her marriage certificate. However in Family Search it is listed as Afra Maria Hanser. Two Children show Afra Maria Hanser as the Mother all other children show Maria Hanser as the mother. Need to confirm who the parents were for Salesii and if he had two or three wives and who their parents were.
