Paul, Thank you for your advice and help. I do think that my Endingen was near Balingen. I was not aware of two different Endingens. I found my microfilm numbers on the familysearch site and some records in the Vital records index of Western Europe.. I have the film on permanent loan. I will look at it again on Tuesday to determine if I can more information. I have found that many of my line has lived in Kappel am Rhein, Ringsheim and Endingen and Hechingen They seemed to have traveled between these towns. I would appreciate any help with these lines. Ann, After posting I looked on FamilySearch and noted Kienlin/Kuenlin in the area of Endingen am Kaiserstuhl. I also note now that Kappel am Rhein and Ringsheim are very close (10 and 13 miles) to Endingen am Kaiserstuhl and rather far from Endingen near Balingen. Are you sure you've found the right ancestor?
