    3. Eric, I do not believe the "Emigration from Southwest-Germany" website is a government site. The tab labeled "History of the Project" indicates the work was based on work done by Hans Glatzle and Wolfgang Müller. From what I've seen, much of the data came from local records other than the official emigration records. The LDS have microfilmed the official Würtemberg emigration records and the microfilm number is listed as the source in the books titled "Wuerttemberg Emigration Index", by Trudy Schenk. The microfilms are listed in the LDS Family History Library online catalog under the catalog entry of "Emigration and immigration" for the oberamt ("county seat") of the village. These microfilms may be rented at your local LDS Family History Center at a nominal cost.
