Dear List A newspaper death notice lists (a potential relative's) "früher Düren" as Rheinland but I cannot translate the second term 'Düren'. I am presuming it means some form of 'place of origin". However, could anyone help me understand if that "place" might relate to their family/ancestor origin or if it would only refer to the subject - that they themselves originated from Rheinland? My assumption is that if the latter is true this person is less likely to be a relative... Many thanks Caroline Lund
