He married Louisa Caspar, born June 21, 1864 in Karlsruhe on September 27, 1883.? His occupation was listed as a maltser and they came to Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA aboard the Ship "Elbe" in December of 1883. The spelling was GRAMEL.?
