    3. When I try his name in Familysearch.org I get one response which is from the 1880 federal census showing him as a single man born in 1845, a tailor by profession, coming from Wurttemberg. I don't know if you have found that yet. You will need to look at the actual census report to find anything further. If you don't subscribe to Ancestry.com, then you will need to find a library or friend which does and can provide you access to the actual census record. By the way my great grandmother came from Odenheim, a small farm town in Baden, which I visited this past May. It is a lovely place where I still have relatives living. Small world isn't it? Good luck! Alexander and Josephine were married in Chicago at the City Hall. Having secured a copy of the marriage license, there was no mention of his home in Wurttemberg Germany. All family pictures, and documents were destroyed by a family member. Where do I go to further my research? Your assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated. (P.s. Josephine Freund was born and raised in Odenheim, Germany). This couple met in the United States. Hope that I have not confused you.
