    3. Linnel, I have checked http://www.ancestry.com/ Josephine and Alexander have records in the 1900 & 1910 US Census. Please email me off of the this mail list, and I will send you the records. I don't know if you have found that yet. You will need to look at the actual census report to find anything further. If you don't subscribe to Ancestry.com, then you will need to find a library or friend which does and can provide you access to the actual census record. By the way my great grandmother came from Odenheim, a small farm town in Baden, which I visited this past May. It is a lovely place where I still have relatives living. Small world isn't it? Good luck! Alexander and Josephine were married in Chicago at the City Hall. Having secured a copy of the marriage license, there was no mention of his home in Wurttemberg Germany. All family pictures, and documents were destroyed by a family member. Where do I go to further my research? Your assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated. (P.s. Josephine Freund was born and raised in Odenheim, Germany). This couple met in the United States. Hope that I have not confused you. 3. It's interesting that the record from 1880 has him in Albany, N.Y. working as a tailor and unmarried. In fact his description appears to be old batch. 20 years later he is married to Josephine (for 14 years) and living in Chicago with three children and employed as a cutter of clothing. The 1880 report has his birthplace as Wurttemberg, the later ones simply Germany. You really do have to take all the evidence to get a complete picture.
