Starting with your first question, Huzenbach is a village in the Black Forest section of Wurttemberg, south and east of Baden-Baden on highway no. 462. It looks like the center of the really forested part of that area. You can get more information by simply googling the name. I then searched the name Grammel at Familysearch.org and found a lot of people from all over Germany with that name or variations. There was a woman actually from Huzenbach whose name was Agathe Elizabetha Grammel, born 30 May 1822. She is likely related to your ancestor, given the apparent size of Huzenbach. You may want to replicate this search. You may find others. I did not find anything searching the name Gottlieb Grammel. You may want to try the same thing with the Caspar name. Just go to the search menu at Familysearch.org and type in the last name and select Germany as the country. You will have to scroll through a lot of names but you will see everyone named Grammel or Caspar that is in their system. Good luck. Adam, If you have not done it already, you may want to order the microfilm of the church records for Huzenbach that you can order from FamilySearch. It looks like they have three reels with records back until 1603. The reel numbers are 1884461, 1884462 and 1884463. Good luck. -----Original Message----- From: baden-wurttemberg-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:baden-wurttemberg-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Eric Schaal Sent: Monday, October 20, 2008 7:25 PM To: baden-wurttemberg@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [BW] Gottlieb GRAMMEL Starting with your first question, Huzenbach is a village in the Black Forest section of Wurttemberg, south and east of Baden-Baden on highway no. 462.
