Marv, a 'Berain' is an inventory of a dominion. There were different reasons for drafting a Berain, e.g. when a dominion was sold or when was given in mortage or when it was distributed among heirs. Another expression for such an inventory is 'Urbar' meaning exactly the same as Berain. Both expression are no more in use modern German. ...and besids that, the word "Nachdem" in the German text is actually two words "Nach dem", here with the meaning "According to the".
