Angelika, Be careful, the dates in the US are represented differently from the European format. You are looking for a Joseph MAIER, b: 07.01.1875 (7 Jan 1875). The Joseph MAIER listed in the California Death Index that died on 09/19/1959 (19 Sep 1959) was born on 08/01/1875 (1 Aug 1875). He may still be the one you are looking for, but you will have to purchase the certificate to find out for sure.
