Hello, I have just joined your list and I have a question. I am trying to trace my ggrandfather, I understand he was born in France, then moved to Germany. I was wondering if boundaries had changed for his move. He was born in 1844. The last place I know that he lived was Ballendorf, Wurttemberg, Germany. Is this the Banat area? Thank you for your help. The Banat was much further east and covered sections that are now part of Romania, Serbia, and Hungary.
