    3. Several years ago, a friend in Chicago was in Poland saw some additional microfilm numbers that were about the area we were searching. When he got back to Chicago and his local FHC, he asked about them but was told that they were "International" film not available -- he persisted in getting to rent the microfilm and now we both have all 7 rolls of microfilm from that area -- 4 from the International Vault and 3 I guess were in the Salt Lake City vault. And I have mine on permanent loan because I go back whenever I can and search to see if I have overlooked someone. I don't know if persistence will pay off or not -- but that was our experience. Once he ordered the film, I had not problem with my local FHC (in Baton Rouge, LA) getting the microfilm. Lorraine Moore P.S. Sorry I have not cleaned up some previous comments -- but thought to leave them -- just in case someone new comes across our comments and does not see the original question. ________________________________ From what I understand a lot of records that are available in the US are restricted from some other countries because of local laws. I have cousins in Murrhardt that do not have access to those records because of some German law, so I did the research here, but the good part is he was able to go to the actual german archives to do other research. ----- Original Message ----- From: <CLARK1528@aol.com> To: <baden-wurttemberg@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, April 15, 2009 8:13 AM Subject: Re: [BW] Advice on Evangelische records and the LDS's archives? > The film is still listed as such in the online catalogue and nothing > indicates it is no longer available to order.
