(Resending this because I don't think it went through yesterday.) Hi all, I've been researching my surname and lineage. The Detterers were Volga Germans in Russia who trace back to Johann Adam Dederer/Detterer, Christened in 1730 in Obergimpern in Heidelberg, Baden. His father's name was Johann Esaias Dederer and his mother was Maria Christina. What I'm wondering is, is this a brick wall? I've found quite a few other Dederer/Detterer names from that period and area (just via FamilySearch.org), but no other mention of Esaias. What would be the approach to take from this point? Dion
