    3. I had completely forgotten the term until I said it aloud, "Snickelfritz" and images of my Grandfather Hausssmann came back to me. It was definitely a loving term, suggesting impishness perhaps?     3. Hello, Thank you so very much for your replies. Like I said and like others have said -We were active children. I believe I have ADHD - two of my children have it, too. I will now call them "Schnikelfritz" because I love them even though they where on the move constantly. Makes me choke up to know the meaning.
