    3. Hi Shirley I have found them to be generally reliable. I would not use them instead of the actual church books but as a guide they can be useful. In some cases Cramer's transcriptions of the church books are all that is available through the LDS films. I believe he did the transcriptions in the late 1940's and had access to the actual books, including some books that were not filmed.
