Hello Anne, RE: Not sure if this means anything or not, but as a child my Uncle used to call me "Snickelfritz" (sic) - does it have meaning? I was an active child so I believe the nickname was given to me for that reason. I believe the "schnickel" part is a variant of "schnuckeln," meaning sucking, licking or enjoying sweets. Growing up around Hannover,I remember the word Schnickelfritz being used often as a term of endearment with a slight connotation of teasing. Greetings from California, Michael
