I am looking for a Christian Lampel (Lamfel) born approx 1832. Had a son named Leonard (Gerard) Lampel (Lamfel) in 1853-1856. I am not sure if you came to the US to fight in the Civil War for Union. I found all the US records I could find on him and am trying to place him in Germany somehow. Any ideas? I do not know when he died but it had to have been after 1856 when his son was born possibly between 1880-1900. Kenneth Lampel
