Hi Sally, My Links came from the Balingen area which is in southern Wuerttemberg. The villages were Erzingen and Tieringen and I can trace them back to the 1500's. Hi Gary: Mine came from Laudenbach am Main which is a town on the side of water which is what Link means. I have a picture of the Link house there from the 1600's. Then my ancester Johann Simon Link moved to Erlenbach am Main after he married Anna Maria Hohm in Worth. All three towns are on the Main river about a hour and a half south of Frankfurt. Johnann Simon was a proprietor of the Golden Krone a guesthaus there. I don't know where they came from prior to living in Laudenbach. Do any of these town ring a bell with you?
