I have used Max Cramer church record abstracts along with the actual church records. It is very helpful especially when the handwriting is exceptionally bad. It will allow you to look first for the date and name. It is also helpful for non-standard comments. In addition to the parish records, he also compiled family genealogies that are also listed in the Family History Library Catalog. There is an index but I think you might need to be in Salt Lake at the FH Library to make the best use of these records. Would appreciate advice from any who have used these sources. Do they reliably point the way to actual church entries? --ie would they provide a short cut to ordering numerous records that may or may not include my ancestors. Advice please.
