    1. Re: [BW] Henry Kalb born in Germany 1831

    3. Following up on the Ohio Union Army idea, a search of the Ohio Civil War Roster [an index] of the Ohio Genealogical Society uncovers one Henry Kalb who was in the 95th Ohio Infantry. A link from that search result will take you to the Civil War Soldiers and Sailors System (CWSS) [ www.civilwar.nps.gov/cwss/ ] where you will find Henry's general index record and a history of the 95th. Interestingly, they mustered in 19 Aug 1862 and mustered out Aug 1865. This would fit Carlisle's theory. > > Date: Fri, 16 Jan 2009 14:16:22 -0500 > From: "Carlisle Danzeisen's" <1833danzeisen@embarqmail.com> > Subject: Re: [BW] Henry Kalb born in Germany 1831 > To: <baden-wurttemberg@rootsweb.com> > Message-ID: <006001c9780e$eb9eadd0$c2dc0970$@com> > Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" > > I have no connection with KALB, but I do have a suggestion or two > that might > help you. > > You probably want to look for Ohio records for some of your answers. > Elizabeth and the first 5 of children (George, Henry, Elizabeth, > Conrad and > Catharine) were born in Ohio so chances are that Henry Kalb married > Elizabeth Wolf in Ohio.
