Tom, Rightmyer would be the English spelling of the German name Reitmeier. There are several variations like Reitmaier, Reitmeyer, Reithmeier, Reithmaier, Reithmeyer... all pronounced the same, quite exactly like Rightmyer. >From the online phone directory (www.dastelefonbuch.de) it seems that there are no families by any of these names living in Walzbachtal-Woessingen today. For me, as german it sounds like: Mayer (wich could also written as - Meier, Maier, Meyer a.s.o.) Also the "Right" could be missunderstood - Right sounds in german also like "Reit" or "Rheit" ... many options. And all those versions of Mayer are in the Top 5 of german surnames ;o) I also searched a bit for Woessingen! I haven't kept up with "my" rootsweb newsletters lately, so I apologize if this has already been addressed. For years and years I have searched for my great grandfather's baptismal/birth record in Germany. We know that he was born in Heidelberg in Oct 1851; this is an undisputed fact. Alas, no amount of searching showed him as "existing" until his confirmation certificate from St. Georg's German Chapel (from St. George's Episcopal Church) in New York City.Lo, and behold, I typed his name "Theodor Schultze" into the LDS pilot site along with his mother's maiden name, "Sidonie Seckler" and his name appeared! I now know that his baptismal name was "Karl Theodor Ferdinand Schultze". Oh yes, "Schultze" was misspelled as "Schultz", but that's often the case with my last name!If you haven't had a chance to "check out" the new site, do take a look at it. It is as it says, a "PILOT" site not near to being finished, but when it is, it will be absolutely awesome!http://pilot.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html#p=0Roberta SchultzeSan Jose, California

This is my husband's favorite cookie. I make them all the time. Pfefferneuse 1 cup sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp cloves 1/8 tsp black pepper 1/4 tsp nutmeg 2 cups flour Blend sugar and eggs on high for 4-5 minutes or until very light in color. Sift flour and spices together and add to egg/sugar mixture. Form dough into little round balls or nuts and place on a floured baking sheet. Bake at 350 for 18 - 20 minutes. Note: the cookies will get hard after a couple days. You simple put a slice of apple and the cookies in a covered tin - the cookies will soften and the apple adds a little wonderful flavor. -----Original Message----- From: baden-wurttemberg-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:baden-wurttemberg-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Beth Sent: Wednesday, January 07, 2009 12:34 PM To: baden-wurttemberg@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [BW] Pfeffernuesse here you go .. it is from the All recipes site.... http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Pfeffernusse-Cookies/Detail.aspx?prop31=7 hope this helps..
