    2. Marvin, thanks for looking up the names! Pity the Granacher entry does not have any details or at least a given name... The entry is funny in a way, because it seems that before or after being incarcerated Mr. Granacher still received his payment for the military service. About the other families: I would be interested in persons named - Johannes Boller (from Hohentengen) - Joseph Baumgartner (from Hohentengen) - Andreas Mayer/Maier (from Hohentengen) - Johann Friedrich Mayer/Maier (from Hohentengen) - Konrad Mayer/Maier (from Herdern) - Eduard Mayer/Maier (from Herdern) - Matthias Mayer/Maier (from Herdern) - Johann Georg Mayer/Maier (from Herdern) - Leopold Müller (from Hohentengen) - Johann Müller (from Hohentengen) - Aloys Huber (from Hohentengen) - Ambrosius von Roth (from Dettighofen) It would be great if you can find any of these in the list! 3. Marvin, Can you please do a look up for me in the copy of the list you have of prisoners held at Rastatt in 1848 & 1849? The name I am interested in is DANZEISEN or alternate spellings of it. The family came from the Eichstetten and Teningen areas of Baden, including their surrounding towns (i.e. Nimburg). If other DANZEISEN's are listed I would be interested in knowing that, in case in the future we do find a connection to them. There are other family names I would be interesting in knowing if they were listed or not, but the primary name is DANZEISEN. Other family names of interest from the Eichstetten area would be - Graf Horni Loser Menton Trautwein Thank you in advance for your assistance and effort. Marianne

I don't know if this is your guy or not but here is the information he provided his captors and some of the captors comments. name - Haberkorn, Josef birthplace - Dittigheim residence - Oos, Baden-Baden, Baden profession - Eisenbahner, Wagenwärter sex - m nationality - D age - 30 married - Yes incarcerated - 1849 remarks - 'Er benützte einen ihm erteilten Urlaub, um einer Rekognoszierungsfahrt gegen die preußischen Truppen beizuwohnen, wo er bei Herstellung der Eisenbahn zu Gunsten der Aufständischen behilflich war' (233 / 611*: 29). 'Zeigte lebhafte Sympathie für die Revolution, reiste zur Zeit des Gefechtes bei Langenbrücken nach Bruchsal um Erkundigungen einzuziehen und brachte von dort falsche Gerüchte mit' (237 / 2703: 8). Im Oktober 1849 wegen pflichtwidrigen Verhaltens während der Revolution in dienstpolizeilicher Untersuchung und aus dem Dienst entlassen (233 / 612*: 10-11; 233 / 611*: 29, 40, 60-61). Untersuchungsakten wegen Hochverrats (StAF A 27 / 3 Nr. 188).
