My GGGrandmother was Sofie Margarethe Elisabethe Bühler, B: 28 May 1829, D: 19 Aug 1913. She married Karl Friedrich Gauger, B: 14 Sep 1828, D: 14 Apr 1891. They lived in/near Waldenburg, Hohenlohe, Württemberg. I have her parents as Johann Christian Bühler and Anna Marie Sofie Hackert. Any connections with those other Bühlers mentioned? Marvin, Interested in what you found for Andreas SCHIEBER. K?BLER was meant to be KUBLER although I typed it with the umlaut which was clearly a mistake on my part. Please look for Georg Michael KUBLER. Thank you for all you're doing. >Allen, >No Doerings >11 K?blers > 1 Schieber - - Andreas >Send a given name for K?bler .Marvin Hoerig in WI
Hi Max, my in formation comes from the "Grossherzoglich Badishes Anzeigeblatt" which is mad up of officail notices. I havn´t indexed 1854 yet, but from the emigration index already in the book there are - Christ. Haas 143 Christian Haas 341 Johann Haas 132 Johann Georg Haas 479 Karl Haas 31 Kath. Haas 443 Margaretha Haas 341 Sabina Haas 341 all emigrating in 1854. If Jakob was 8 years old, he almst certainly emigrated with his family., and may be the son of one of the above. The numbers are the page number for the entry. I write them to maybe save time later. As Christian, Margaretha and Sabina are all on page 341 I suspect the are siblings. Jon
Hello Laura, do you know Catherine`s date of birth? I have books with many Buehler familes in them. Jon
Jeanne, your Charles was almost certainly Karl/Carl in Germany. Charles is not a German name, Carl being the equivalent. Jon
I am interested in Anton Gress, born 1812. Hello all, I'm looking for information on my 5th great-grandmother Maria Margaretha Dietz who was born about 1768 in Heckfeld, Konigheim, Germany and died on May 7 1828 in Brehmen, Konigheim, Germany. Here parents were Thomas & Maria Anna (Kruch) Dietz. I know no other information as to her ancestry and would appreciate any help. In 1794, she married Johann Anton Haas in Brehmen, Konigheim, Germany and had many children some of which emigrated to the USA. Thank you so much, Jim
Is there any SCHMIEG listed? Thanks, Helen

Hello For those of you reasearching the Appel surname, I have a Herman Appel who married a Johanna Umbach in 1884 in the Kitchener-Waterloo area of Ontario. Yesterday, somehow a look-up request went to someone else, so if you got a request for Fuchs/Fox or Fisher, I am very sorry. Things were a mess with freeze ups and I apologize to whomever I bothered with my request. Will repost my request later. [email protected]

Marvin, The George I am interested in was born abt 1844. Possibly came from the Baden area. Nothing more specific. Jane
Thanks, again! I'm not sure why you have spelled the surname Hauke. The name I am searching is Hucke. I would be interested in reviewing the information on Friedrich Huck and Johann Huck. BODY { font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px; } Hello Jon Jacob Haas is my maternal ggrandfather. I have no data on him prior to his arrival in New Orleans and I am not even sure that the emigration information I have is correct. The Jacob I have arrived in New Orleans in 1854 and his age at that time was 8 years. More accurately I know that he married Caroline Stuft from Freudenstadt. I have a copy of a certificate where Jacob Haas testifies as to the character of John Stuft for purposes of citizenship. Is it possible that Johann Stufft and Jacob Haas knew each other prior to their arrival in America? My grandmother, Magdalena Haas Donhower is the daughter of Caroline Stuft and Jacob Haas. What is the source of your information and what do the numbers next to each name mean? Ted: My Herter family origins are from the Moessingen, Talheim, Belsen, Oschingen, Truchtelfingen, et al areas. I got lucky and found a Herter in Germany doing genealogy with his mother. I had not been able to find any info on my GGreat Grandfather. I gave the Germany contact the name and he found that there was an Ortsfamilienbuch (Heritage Book) entry in the Moessingen village book. Is this the 72116 you refer to below? Anyway, if not there may be an OFB that's not online for Sindelheim.
