A question has arisen regarding Larkin Bennett b 1771 Virginia d 1859 KY. The question is: If Larkin was married to Elizabeth Dennis then why was she listed in the 1850 KY census with the last name of Dennis and all of the children listed in the home also had the last name of Dennis. If she was his wife would she not be listed as Bennett? Does it not raise a question? She could have had a boarding house or could have been his daughter. Also, we have been unable to find any information regarding the name of Larkin's first wife, the mother of his children. Any clarification of any of this would be greatly appreciated.
