Do you have any info on John Bennett mentioned below? Spouse, children, etc? I am searching for a John Bennett m to Jane Scott. No dates, no place. They are said to be the parents of my gggrandfather Linus Bennett, born Feb 6, 1818 'near' Montrose, PA. There is a John Bennett and a Linus Bennett in Ohio Township, Herkimer Co., NY on the 1860 census and a town directory. I haven't established a connection, but my Linus married Mercia (Marcia) Estes in Batavia, Genesee Co., NY in 1855 (have not established that yet either). Any of these names ring any a bell with anyone out there?
