Hardy Bennett married Zilpha Sanders, b. 8 March 1791, dau. of Henry and Jane? Sanders. Hardy Bennett member of Tennesseans in the War of 1812 was a Sgt. in Col. N.T. Perkins, Capt. John Doake, Mtd. Vol. Rifleman; wounded 22 Jan 1814. Some of Hardy's children were born in GA. He moved to Tenn. where other children were born. In 1830 he was in Pickens Co. AL and bought land there. In 1834 he moved to Carroll Co., MS and bought lots of land and raised his family. Solomon Bennett was a Sgt.in the same Co. as Hardy and also lived in GA, TN, Pickens Co. AL, and Carroll Co. MS.
