Hi Has anyone come across a Richard Bennett from London in the 1860's ? His full name may have been Richard Samuel Bennett. He married on 18 March 1861 at the parish church of St. George (the Martyr ?), Southwark, Surrey (sic) but the certificate omits certain details. He married Alice Beavan. Her father was Thomas Beavan (occupation Farmer). His father was Charles Bennett (occupation Beer Retailer) Both bride and groom give their address as "Townsend Street" (which still exists - off the Old Kent Road in south London) Both give their ages as "full" which has inhibited ny search for birth certificates.
