I derive from the following line of Bennetts: John Bennett (b. 15 Aug 1774 "in Maine") moved to Gilead, Oxford County, ME in 1788. There he married Betty Connor (b. 7 Aug 1778 "in Maine"). They had children, all born in Gilead, Polly b. 9 May 1797 Frederick b. 8 July 1799 Nancy b. 20 June 1801 John b. 20 Feb 1803 Hannah b. 15 Feb 1805 Frederick m. (on 23 Nov 1826 in Gilead) Polly Scribner (b. 6 Sept 1808 in Gilead) and had children, all born in Gilead, Joseph P. b. 15 June 1827 (must have been premature) Nancy b. 23 Aug 1829 Ann Eliza b. 9 Aug 1831, d. 6 May 1927, Danvers, Essex, Mass. Ann Eliza m. (in 1850 in Newry, ME) Stephen Osgood Pingree (b. 1826 in Norway, Oxford, ME). Any connections with anyone out there.
