Haven't spent too much time on the Bennett line but here's some of my notes. This was taken mostly from the Bodie and Hart books. The Bennett line that I have been trying to trace back to Thomas Bennett and Alice Pierce in through Benjamin Bell b. 1705 d. 1751 Surry Co, VA wife Anne Champion. Benjamin Bell's father was John Bell b.ca. 1668, d.ca. 1713 m. Ann Bennett 8/30/1694. I believe that Ann Bennett's father was Richard Bennett, Jr. d. ca. 1720 Isle of Wight Co. This Richard had a brother James who married Mary Rogers and children Richard and James. The brother James had daughters Bridget and Sarah. Richard Bennett's father was also Richard b. ca 1625, d. ca 1709/10. He mar. 1. Anne and 2. Sarah Lewis, widow of Daniel Lewis. She later married a Lancaster. Thomas Bennett who married Alice Peerce (Pierce) widow of Thomas Peerce ca. 1623 had only one known child - Richard born 1625. Surry Co. Quit Rent Rolls list the following Bennetts: 1688 - John, Jonas, William 1694 - James, Jonas, William 1698 - James 1704 - James, Richard Leslie, Does this info. track with yours? Would love to have additional information if you have it regarding these lines to help me prove a connection through Ann Bennett back to Thomas. I'll check the sites you mentioned, also. Tnanks.
