Siblings: Elizabeth (Mitt) who married second William B. Killough, Charles, Jim and Nannie who married John Saunders. Who are the parents and siblings of Charles Wesley REID? He last lived in Montgomery County PA, and was part of a civil war artillery reenactors' group. As I recall, he was close friends with a man by the last name of Rapine who currently lives in East Greenville,PA or nearby it. Anyway, the guys' name is Travis Zwoyer. He would now be in his late thirties. I haven't had any luck looking for him on the web, and came across this site in my 'travels'. Sorry this is so 'rambly', but I wasn't thinking of searching for him and just stumbled across this place. Hi Bennett Group, I recently visited the Highland Co.,VA GenWebpage, and noticed its listing of Revolutionary Soldiers. It listed 3 BENNETT's: Jacob, John, and William being Privates in the Muster Roll of Captain Hull's Company, in the 2nd Battalion of the Augusta Militia in 1779. I believe this John may be my 6th Great Grandfather. I would like to know about any BENNETT's in this Virginia area of Highland Co. & Augusta Co. which may be related to my BENNETT's. Seeking the parents of these BENNETT'S born in NJ.....Lindsey born 1793 & Charles born 1801 and Aaron b. abt 1780-1790. Lindsey, Charles, and Aaron BENNETT were in Wayne Co. Ohio in 1826 according to the tax list. Lindsey md Rachel Oakley in 1817, Charles md Phoebe (nee?) abt 1821 in Wayne Co. In 1830 Lindsey and Aaron BENNETT were in Lorain Co. Ohio. Lindsey went to Indiana where a couple of his children married in Wabash Co in 1847. From there Lindsey moved into Barry Co. Missouri. He is on the 1850 Barry Co census and in 1860 had moved to Stoddard Co. Missouri. Charles BENNETT staid in Wayne Co Ohio until the mid 1840's when he moved his family to Jay Co. Indiana. Charles died in 1856 in Jay county . His wife Phoebe and 3 of their children moved to Wisconsin. They lived in Richland county and Vernon county. Aaron BENNETT was already md with children in in the 1820 Wayne Co. Ohio census. It is not known if he is the father of Lindsey and Charles or an older brother. There was also an Isaac BONNETT in 1820 Wayne Co. Ohio who could have been the father of all 3 of these men. Am willing to exchange information. Our Bennett aunt has reached the proverbial brick wall in her research on the BENNETT line. We are unable to find any mention of Bayless prior to the 1850 census. Anyone out there have any suggestions for research or Bennett relatives who may be related?? Charles Green BENNETT's obituary from the Evansville paper notes that he was a prosecutor in the common pleas court in the area and left the following relatives in Evansville: Mrs. J.W. HENSON, Mrs. D.T. MCCLEMENT, and Robert and Edwin BENNETT. Resources checked to date include the pertinent censuses in Indiana and Virginia, and several books (I was going to list them until I realized there were three pages worth on the report our aunt has put together!) as well as the Oak Hill Cemetary records in Evansville. Hi Everyone, I am getting desperate again for more information on my Delphia. I have no idea what her maiden name is though. I know that she first married someone with the last name of Bennett. Here is the rest of the info on her. Census records show that Benjamin and Mary's father was born in Mo. I do hope someone can help me out. Patsy Turner Carnoali Generation No. 1 1. Delphia1 was born 1840 in Missouri, and died Aft. 1880. She married (1) BENNETT. She married (2) John BALL 1/27/1876 in daviess, Missouri. Notes for Delphia: Her father was born in Ohio and her mother was born in Pennsylvania. She is thought to have died when Clarence was about 11 or 12. Notes for John Ball: Both of John's parents were born in Kentucky. He is listed as a farmer in 1880 census. John had 2 stepchildren....Benjamin and Mary BENNETT. Supposedly the family moved to Osceola, St. Claire, Missouri when the Virgil and Clarence were quite young and John and Delphia died there when Clarence was about 11 or 12. There is a possibility that John may have been raised there as I have found Ball's living in the area. Children of Delphia and Bennett are: 2 i. Benjamin2 Bennett, born 1863-1864 in Missouri. Am researching decendants of Charles Kaphart BENNETT and Louisa Finley. Lived in Etna, Siskiyou County, CA abt 1883/84. Married in Sawyers Bar, May 2, 1882.
