They are said to be the parents of my gggrandfather Linus Bennett, born Feb 6, 1818 'near' Montrose, PA. There is a John Bennett and a Linus Bennett in Ohio Township, Herkimer Co., NY on the 1860 census and a town directory. I haven't established a connection, but my Linus married Mercia (Marcia) Estes in Batavia, Genesee Co., NY in 1855 (have not established that yet either). Charles staid in Wayne Co until the late 1840's when he moved his family to Jay Co. Indiana. Charles and Pheobe had: Joseph, John R., Washington, Sarah, Emmaline and two others poss the Rachel and Wm who died in the 1850 mortality Schedule for Jay Co. Joseph & John lived in Mercer Co. Ohio, the other three and wife Phoebe came to Wisc. after Charles death in 1856. Lindsey, Aaron Sr & Aaron Jr moved to Lorain Co. Ohio by 1830, then to Wabash Co. Indiana by 1840 where Aaron Sr must have died. Aaron Jr and Hulda were in the 1850 Wabash Co Indiana census with these children: Elizabeth, Elijah, Joseph, Alexander, Phoebe, Aaron , Jeremiah, Mary. The family disappears in 1860 from Wabash Co. Lindsey moved his family from Wabash Co. Indiana to Barry Co. Missouri in 1850 and then to Stoddard Co. Missouri in 1860. He may have died there. Lindsey and Rachel had the following children: Samuel, Sarah, Elizabeth, Aaron, William H, Mary Jane, Abraham, Edith, Lindsey, John, and Taylor.
