She lived around Salisbury or Wheaton Settlement And married William Wheaton b: 1808. The 1851 census shows a Charlotte Wheaton living in Salisbury. Her cousin R.B. Bill, We are at a total dead end on my husbands 3G GF, William B. ?Bennett/Buck? ALEXANDER. He was born in VA abt 1791, place unknown abt. I have discovered that many VA Alexanders originated in Somerset Co, MD, and then moved to Augusta Co, VA Three of William B.'s sons had BENNETT as a middle name, and two had HARVEY as a middle name. HARVEY was his wife's maiden name, she was Penelope HARVEY, so I'm guessing!!!! that BENNETT was his mother's maiden name, and since we're dead in the water on the ALEXANDERs, thought I would start pursueing the BENNETTs in VA. And then your email showed up, with BENNETTs in Augusta Co. Do you have any ALEXANDERs that married into your BENNETTs? Susanna Bennett (b?) married Jacob BROWNING. Susanna's parents are Joseph Bennett (b 1733- d 14 April 1815, Bedford County, PA) Joseph's wife was Rachel ?. She died 11 November 1828, also in Bedford County, PA. Joseph's dad was John Bennet (that's right one t, also spelled Benat on some records) born 1708 and died 14 April 1778 in Colerain Twp., Bedford County, PA. His wife was Clarissa ?. She was born 1708 and died in 1778. It is believed they were of German descent. Joseph Bennett lived on the farm on which Prosperity Church is located. He paid taxes on it in 1773 to the English Government.. He made a will May 14, 1798 which was recorded in Book 1, page 438, on November 7, 1815. Anyone searching family or has info???
