Josephine's daughter, Alice, is still living in Southern California and says that Josephine is the daughter of Richard Brady and Augustina de la Vega. She says she remembers Augustina but not Richard. Questions are: Is this Richard the son of Peter Rainsford Brady? Is this the Josephine listed with the Bradys in the 1900 U.S. Census at 2 years old. Story has it that Richard had a ranch and Ramon came to work on the ranch from New Mexico as a run-away about nine years old, grew up and married Richard's daughter. Thank You, Take care; JR

I've "rescued" an old photograph of Florence EARLY taken at the A. M. Feldman Studio in Tucson, Arizona. The photograph was probably taken in the 1890's or early 1900's. The photograph is blurry so it isn't easy to tell her age at the time. Another photograph of baby Mabel Virginia MADDOX taken in 1913 and recovered from the same source is addressed to Aunt Florence. I've no idea if this is the same Florence or just a coincidence. I'm hoping to locate someone from her family so that this wonderful old photograph can be returned to the care of family. Pat, Went a hunting this morning and came up dry. I was unable to locate any information on Helen M Sherritt at all. Searched the Green Valley News and Sun for the weeks of Sept 5,7,12 and 14, 2001. No obit printed. Searched the Tucson paper "Daily Star" with negative results. A search of the Pima County records (property ownership) proved negative. A search of the Green Valley phone books showed a Thomas M Sherritt in 1992-93 living at 120 W. Calle Melendrez, GV. Nothing on Thomas or any Sherritt since that time. Thomas Sherritt listing showed his wife's name as 'Violet' in 1985 but she disappears after that date. Thomas disappears after 1992-93. I suspect that Helen was living at one of the assisted living facilities here in Green Valley and that when she died, no family was around. If I can help you with anything else, let me know.
